The Lake Steward Program is a fun and rewarding way to help keep our lake healthy for generations to come. Every shoreline plays a part in protecting clean water, providing habitat for fish and wildlife, and preserving the natural beauty that makes Star Lake such a special place. According to the Minnesota Lakes and Rivers Guide to Lake Stewardship, the Minnesota DNR found that nearly 40–50% of Minnesota's natural shorelines have already been lost, with more disappearing every decade.
